1. Overview

This Return & Refund Policy governs all purchases made directly through the Oura online store at ouraringr.com and applies to the Oura Ring, charging accessories, and other Oura-branded hardware products. By completing a purchase on our website, you agree to the terms set forth in this policy.

Oura is committed to your satisfaction. If for any reason you are not completely happy with your purchase, we offer a hassle-free return and exchange process within the timeframes and conditions described below.


2. Return Eligibility

You may return your Oura product under the following conditions:

  • The return request is submitted within 30 days of receiving your original order.
  • The product is fully functional and undamaged — no cracks, physical damage, or signs of misuse.
  • All original items are included: Oura Ring, charger, USB-C cable, and original packaging.
  • The product was purchased directly from ouraringr.com. Purchases made through third-party retailers (Amazon, Best Buy, etc.) must be returned to the respective retailer.
  • Only one return or exchange per item is allowed.

Note: Returns are NOT available under the following circumstances:

  • The item shows signs of physical damage, scratches, or unauthorized modifications.
  • The return window of 30 days from receipt has passed.
  • The product was purchased from a third-party retailer.
  • The item is a Stelo Glucose Biosensor (medical device — not eligible for return).
  • The order originates from Russia (returns currently not supported).

3. How to Initiate a Return

3.1 Self-Service Portal (Recommended)

Customers located in the United States, Australia, Canada, Finland, Germany, Japan, or the United Kingdom can process returns and exchanges directly through our self-service portal:

  • Visit support.ouraringr.com and navigate to Returns & Exchanges.
  • Have your order number (format: SO-XXXXXXXX) and the email address used at checkout ready.
  • Eligible orders appear in the portal three (3) days after shipment.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to select your return or exchange.
  • A prepaid shipping label will be emailed to you upon completion.

3.2 Member Care Team

Customers located outside the supported self-service countries should contact our Member Care Team directly at support.ouraringr.com to initiate a return or exchange. Please include:

  • Your order number (SO-XXXXXXXX).
  • The email address associated with your order.
  • A brief description of the reason for your return or the desired exchange size.

4. Exchange Policy

Direct exchanges are available only for a different ring size of the same model and color. If you wish to exchange for a different model or color, you must:

  • Return the original product for a full refund within the 30-day window.
  • Place a new separate order for the desired model or color.

Exchanges for Oura Ring Gen3 are no longer supported. Customers who purchased an Oura Ring Gen3 and wish to change size, color, or model must return the original for a refund and place a new order.

Shipping for approved exchanges is provided at no additional cost to the customer. Exchange shipments can be sent to a different address, provided it is within the same country as the original order.


5. Refund Policy

5.1 Refund Amount

Approved returns are refunded the full purchase price of the returned item(s). The following are non-refundable:

  • Shipping and handling fees from the original order.
  • Any customs or import duties incurred at the time of delivery.
  • Subscription fees for the Oura Membership — these are non-refundable once a billing period has started.

5.2 Refund Timeline

Refunds are processed as follows:

  • Once the returned item is received and inspected by our warehouse team, a refund confirmation is issued within 1–2 business days.
  • The refund typically appears in your original payment account within 2–3 additional business days after confirmation.
  • Orders paid with HSA/FSA funds: please allow 3–5 business days for the refund to reflect.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method only — we cannot issue refunds to a different card or bank account.

5.3 Currency & Exchange Rates

Refunds are issued in the same currency as the original payment. The refund amount will reflect the current exchange rate at the time of processing. Oura is not responsible for any currency fluctuation differences between the original purchase date and the refund date.


6. Order Cancellations

You may cancel an order free of charge as long as it has not yet been fulfilled (i.e., prepared for shipment). To cancel an unfulfilled order:

  • Use the chatbot available at support.ouraringr.com
  • Once cancellation is confirmed, a refund confirmation email is sent within 1–2 business days.

If your order has already been shipped, you will need to wait for delivery and then initiate a standard return through the self-service portal or Member Care Team.


7. Membership / Subscription Cancellations

The Oura Membership is a recurring subscription that unlocks personalized health insights in the Oura App. The following terms apply to membership cancellations and refunds:

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time via the Oura App settings or through the Membership Hub at ouraringr.com
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain full access until then.
  • No prorated refunds are issued for unused days in a current billing term.
  • If you return your Oura Ring hardware, you must also separately cancel your membership to avoid continued charges.

Exception: If you have not logged in or used the Oura Services for six (6) months or more following purchase, Oura reserves the right to terminate your subscription and refund the purchase price of the hardware only.


8. Warranty

Every Oura Ring includes limited manufacturer warranty coverage:

  • Oura Ring Gen3: One (1) year warranty from the date of purchase.
  • Oura Ring 4: Two (2) years warranty from the date of purchase.

The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, including scratches and dents caused by daily handling.
  • Consumable components such as batteries depleted through normal use.
  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, unauthorized modifications, or repairs.

For warranty claims, contact our Member Care Team at support.ouraringr.com with your order number and a description of the defect.


9. Third-Party Retailer Purchases

If you purchased your Oura Ring from a third-party retailer — whether in-store or online (including Amazon, Best Buy, or authorized resellers) — your return, exchange, and refund must be handled directly with that retailer in accordance with their own return policy. Oura is unable to process returns or refunds for purchases made through third-party channels.


10. Lithium Battery Shipping Notice

If you are returning an Oura Ring 4 Charging Case, your return package will include an additional lithium battery shipping label. This label must be affixed to the outside of your return package in compliance with international lithium battery shipping regulations. Failure to apply the label may result in delays or rejection of your return shipment.
